(BOISE, ID) – A small thunderstorm started as many as nine wildfires in the Boise National Forest over the weekend. Authorities say the fires were ignited by lightning strikes near Emmett and Idaho City. No structures were threatened. Several dozen crew members including smoke jumpers worked to contain the flames, which were mostly under control by Saturday evening.
