(DENVER) — A May Day winter storm Wednesday dumped snow on parts of Colorado and Wyoming. Forecasters say parts of Colorado could get a foot or more before it’s all over.
Though the storm shut down schools on the first day of May in areas being hit the hardest, weather experts say May snowstorms are not all that unusual in Colorado. The record is a foot of snow back in 1917.
