(POCATELLO, ID) – A former Union Pacific employee has filed a lawsuit against the company, alleging that she was a victim of discrimination because she is a woman. Ronna Martinez claims two male co-workers were paid $13,000 more than her per year, even though they all had the same work responsibilities. Martinez also alleges that the man who replaced her when she retired last year is now paid the same as other men. Martinez is asking a federal court for $350,000 in damages and compensation.
