Jimmie Johnson Cruises to Victory at Pocono Raceway

Jerry Markland/Getty Images(LONG POND, Pa.) — Jimmie Johnson led for 128 of the races’ 160 laps as he wins the Party in the Poconos 400 at Pocono Raceway Sunday.
“What a race car,” Johnson said of his No. 48 Chevrolet. “I mean not only the car and the handling and the grip that it had, but the engine and what was under the hood.”
The victory was Johnson’s third of the season, as he extends his Sprint Cup standings lead to 51 points over Carl Edwards.
The win was Johnson’s third at Pocono and the 63rd of his career.
Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman filled out the top five.
