(OAKLAND, Calif.) — The Golden State Warriors signed free agent guard Toney Douglas to a contract on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 27-year-old Douglas split time between the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings last season, where he averaged 7.5 points and 2.1 assists in 18.1 minutes per game.
Douglas was originally drafted out of Florida State by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 29th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. He was immediately dealt to the New York Knicks, spending three years in the Big Apple.
Douglas’ best season came in 2010-11 with the Knicks, where he averaged 10.6 points and 3.0 assists in 24.1 minutes per game.
