Powerful Grizzly Bear

(JACKSON, WY) – Authorities in Grand Teton National Park relocated a grizzly bear that had been lurking around a campground Monday. The 212-pound male was foraging for native food in the Lizard Creek area, and had been involved in several close encounters with humans. The bear was radio-collared and relocated just northwest of the park in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. That same day, a wildlife biologist was mauled by a grizzly in Island Park, though the latter bear has not been found.
