However, Edward Snowden, who remains holed up in a Moscow airport, will probably turn down the invitation.

Iran’s state-affiliated Fars News Agency reported Wednesday that a non-governmental organization (NGO) would like the former National Security Agency contractor to visit in order to share intelligence the U.S. might have collected about Iran.

Justice-Seekers Without Borders says that Snowden disclosed that the U.S. spies on Iranian citizens.  While it bills itself as an NGO, Justice-Seekers Without Borders is still deeply connected to the Iranian regime.

Iran wasn’t on the list of nations Snowden is asking to grant him asylum but its one benefit is that Iran is much easier to get to from Russia than any of the central and South American countries Snowden would prefer to make his new home.
