(NEWTON, Iowa) — Brad Keselowski took control late Saturday night and won the NASCAR Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway.
The defending Sprint Cup champion grabbed the lead with 35 laps remaining and has now won in his last three Nationwide starts.
“As a driver, those are probably some of the most difficult moments knowing you have a fast race car and knowing that circumstances are playing against you,” Keselowski said. “You can let the moment define you, or you can define the moment.”
Sam Hornish Jr. finished second, while Brian Vickers, points leader Austin Dillon, and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five. Dillon led the race for all but 43 laps but faltered after a late caution.
Keselowski flew into Iowa on Saturday afternoon from Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, where NASCAR’s Sprint Cup race will take place on Sunday. He battled through engine issues and a pit violation to earn his second victory in four tries at Iowa Speedway.
