Rivers tossed three touchdown passes and threw for 419 yards without throwing an interception in the victory.  Eddie Royal was the beneficiary of all three touchdowns.

“It was big for our offense to just convert on third down, trying to keep their fast-paced offense off the field, knowing how explosive they were,” Royal said.

Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd was hit hard and left on a stretcher during the first play of the second half, but the team received news that he was fine after the game.

Michael Vick did all he could do with two touchdowns and 428 yards, but it was the Eagles defense who was unable to make the big play in the end.

“We made our share of plays today and I think we’re going to get better,” Vick said.

Philadelphia will have a short week and host the Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) on Thursday night.  San Diego will play at Tennessee (1-1) next Sunday.
