(BOISE, ID) – In a rare moment of candor, Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna has acknowledged that he made some mistakes when pushing for his education overhaul. Luna says he should’ve focused his attention on winning the support of the public, rather than the support of state legislators. Although signed into law and later repealed, the reforms narrowed collective bargaining rights for teachers, introduced merit pay, and aimed to give laptop computers to all high school students.
