(LOS ANGELES) -- Zac Efron reportedly sought treatment in rehab earlier this year, and it's only now coming to light.
E! News reports the 25-year-old actor completed a stint in rehab about five months ago. A source is quoted as saying, "He's healthy, happy and not drinking."
TMZ claims alcohol was not the reason for Efron's rehab stay, but rather cocaine. His alleged addiction to the drug reportedly caused him to miss multiple days of work on the set of his film Neighbors earlier this year. A source states, "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."
TMZ further alleges that Efron and some of his friends "went on a coke rager" in Las Vegas early this year, and that he has used a form of Ecstasy called "Molly" in the past.
Efron recently made an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of his film Parkland, which hits select theaters Oct. 4. Neighbors, which also stars Seth Rogen, will be released next May.
