(LIMA, Peru) — Fourteen children are among the more than 50 people who were killed in a crash on Friday when a makeshift bus fell about 650 feet off a cliff and into a river.
Most of the passengers on the bus were travelling home from a religious festival, the BBC News reports. Similar means of transportation are common in the Peruvian Andes due to a lack of public transportation.
Investigators told BBC News that there were no survivors in the crash.
