(BOISE, ID) – Idaho Democrats are confident that they’ll be able to unseat Republican Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna. Party Chairman Larry Kenck says the rejection of Luna’s education reforms in 2012 will likely translate to success for any mainstream candidate who challenges Luna. However, no one has declared their intent to run against him. Republican Party Chairman Barry Peterson says the memory of Luna’s reforms is fading, meaning that his previous failure to win over the support of Idahoans in 2012 may not be as big of a factor as his opponents argue.
