(COLUMBIA, S.C.) — Injured All-American defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney returned to practice Wednesday for No.14 South Carolina, but his status is still uncertain for Saturday’s game against Arkansas.
Clowney has been suffering from a strained muscle near his rib cage, which kept him out of practice on Monday and Tuesday.
He pulled himself from last week’s 35-28 win over Kentucky last week shortly before kickoff because he said he was in too much pain.
South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier said Wednesday he’s hopeful Clowney will be able to play against the Razorbacks.
The 6-foot-6, 274 pound Clowney has 12 total tackles for the Gamecocks this season, with just two sacks.
