(LOS ANGELES) — Sixteen-year-old Kylie Jenner and 17-year-old Kendall Jenner were spotted partying at the 21-and-over club Vignette Lounge in West Hollywood, Calif., Tuesday night, and TMZ reports both girls might be in trouble as a result.
According to the gossip website, the only exception to the 21-and-over rule is if the underage person is employed as a musician, but even then the minimum age is 18. In any event, the club features a “nightclub experience” on Tuesday nights that can include nudity — and nudity means the Jenner sisters wouldn’t have been allowed in, even if they were musicians.
The website reports the girls threw blankets over their heads to shield themselves from photographers on their way out.
An official for the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control tells TMZ both the girls and the club may have broken the law and that they may launch an investigation.
A club manager who spoke to TMZ insists the bouncers checked IDs at the door and did not know the Jenner girls. Both reportedly presented IDs showing them to be 21.
The manager adds the club is “very aware that underage celebrities try to drink illegally…so they’re very particular about checking IDs…especially when photographers are outside shooting everyone who goes in.”
