Matt Kemp to Undergo Shoulder Surgery
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — The Los Angeles Dodger announced their All-Star outfielder Matt Kemp will have shoulder surgery.
Kemp, who already was declared out for the postseason with an ankle injury, will have an arthritic bone from his left A-C joint shaved. The surgery will be performed by team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache and Kemp should be ready for spring training.
Kemp had surgery on the same shoulder last offseason to repair a torn labrum.
The 29-year-old Kemp hit .270 with six home runs and 33 RBIs in 73 games this season.
