New York City Bike Path Stabbings Leave Five Hurt

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — A 2-year-old child and four adults were stabbed by an attacker in New York City’s Riverside Park early Tuesday morning before he was tackled by a Good Samaritan.
Julius Graham was arrested after the attacks, which began around 8 a.m. Police said Graham used scissors as his weapon.
According to New York City police, the stabbing spree began at 64th Street where Graham allegedly stabbed a jogger. He then stabbed a dog walker in the stomach at 63rd Street, police said.
At 62nd Street, the attacker slashed someone’s neck.
As he moved downtown toward 60th Street, Graham allegedly went after a man who was trying to protect a toddler, slashing the man in the chest. He then went on to cut the toddler’s arm, according to police.
Graham was tackled by a civilian and then taken into custody by police. He is now undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
All five individuals, including the 2-year-old, suffered injuries that are non-life-threatening.
