(NEW YORK) — Trading firms will have a chance to test their systems ahead of the Twitter IPO, the Wall Street Journal reports. The New York Stock Exchange will hold a mock opening auction of the company’s stock on Saturday, Oct. 26.
According to the Journal, NYSE informed traders of the dry run in a notice Friday. Many firms are hoping to avoid technical problems like the ones that compromised Facebook’s market debut on the Nasdaq last year.
In a regulatory filing earlier this week, the micro-blogging company revealed its shares will appear on the NYSE with the ticker symbol TWTR.
