(BLACKFOOT, ID) – High school students from around the region came to Blackfoot Saturday for the annual “Angry Pumpkin Chuckin’ Contest.” Organizer Richard Johnson says participants made their own catapults and were encouraged to experiment with their own designs. Although dangerous, no one was hurt, though there were plenty of pumpkins that didn’t survive the day. Participants say similar events have been held in the past in the area, and are getting more popular each year.
