(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims dropped during the second week of October, falling to 358,000, the Labor Department reported Thursday.
For the week ending Oct. 12, the number of people filing for benefits tumbled by 15,000. The previous week, claims stood at 373,000.
The four-week average, meanwhile, went up, increasing by 11,750 to 336,500.
