Published at(MADISON, Wis.) — James White and Melvin Gordon combined to rush for 351 yards and two touchdowns as Wisconsin trumped Indiana 51-3 on Saturday.
White began the game by scoring on a 93-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage, setting a school record.
“I was expecting for me to have to make at least one person miss, but it just so happened they were out of their gaps and I was just able to run straight,” White said.
The Badgers (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten) were facing an Indiana team who allows an average of 217 yards per game coming into the contest, so running the football was a priority offensively.
Wisconsin had 323 rushing yards at halftime and finished with a total of 554 to go along with six touchdowns.
Indiana (4-6, 2-4) was kept out of the endzone and mustered only three points on the day. They managed just 224 yards of total offense and snapped a school record of 10 straight games scoring at least 28 points.
