“Free Birds,” “Ender’s Game,” “Last Vegas” Open Friday

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- Here's a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

-- Free Birds: In the animated film, two turkeys travel back in time, hoping to put an end to America's Thanksgiving tradition of eating gobblers. Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson and Amy Poehler lend their voices to Free Birds, which is screening in 3D. Rated PG.

-- Ender's Game: A young boy is recruited and trained to lead a military into battle against an alien race that has invaded a futuristic Earth.  Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Abigail Breslin star in the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's novel.  Rated PG-13.

-- Last Vegas: The comedy stars Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline as four lifelong friends who travel to Las Vegas to celebrate the engagement of Douglas' Billy. Rated PG-13.
