(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – The results of Tuesday’s elections are in, and the hotly contested mayoral races around eastern Idaho are over. In Idaho Falls, Rebecca Casper was elected mayor with 53 percent of the vote. Casper will replace current Mayor Jared Fuhriman, who is retiring. In Pocatello, incumbent Mayor Brian Blad won with a landslide 66 percent. In Ammon, Dana Kirkham won with more than 60 percent, while Kevin England won in Chubbuck with 50 percent. After a close race, a runoff election between the top two candidates in Blackfoot, Dan Cravens and Paul Loomis, will be held December 3.
