(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello man has admitted to assaulting a Fort Hall tribal police officer earlier this year.  Authorities say 58-year-old Lyle Plentywounds was intoxicated when police were investigating a domestic disturbance May 2. Plentywounds allegedly told the officer that he was a trained martial artist, an ex-convict, and that he hated police officers. He’s accused of punching the officer in the face during the arrest. Plentywounds, who could spend up to 8 years in prison for the incident, will be sentenced in February.
