Browner injured his groin back on Nov. 10 and missed the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Luckily for the Seahawks, they enter their bye in Week 12.

“Hopefully, by the end of the week, we’ll know more,” Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said when asked about Browner. “He had a pretty good exam [Monday], I know that. But he has a serious groin pull. It’s not just a pulled muscle. He has some tissue damage and stuff. It’s a severe groin pull. They are talking four to six weeks at best. That’s a long haul.”

Browner along with Richard Sherman make up one of the best cornerback duos in the NFL. The Seahawks defense rates among the NFL’s best, but losing Browner will be tough to make up. In his third year with the Seahawks, Browner has 19 tackles and one interception this season in eight games.

Seattle has the fifth ranked defense in the NFL thanks to a talented group of defensive players.
