“Frozen” Ends “The Hunger Games'” Reign at Number One
Published at(NEW YORK) — Frozen is heating up at the box office. Disney’s animated hit reached number one in its second weekend of release, earning an estimated $31.6 million.
After two weekends on top, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire slipped to second place, collecting $27 million.
The new Christian Bale-Casey Affleck drama Out of the Furnace rounded out the top three, with a $5.3 million debut.
Here are the top 10 movies from Friday through Sunday, with estimated ticket sales, according to Rentrak:
