(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – More tools and equipment are being stolen from construction sites in Idaho Falls. More than $1,500 was recently taken from a building site in a subdivision off of 65th North. Area law enforcement officials say it isn’t enough anymore to just lock up tools in a trailer and walk away. At other locations, batteries and even fuel are being taken. In many cases, workers themselves and not the contracting companies are held financially liable if anything comes up missing, making the tools difficult to replace. Those with information about the thefts can contact detectives at 529-1200.
