No. 8 Duke Dismantles UCLA

SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1387528996240Streeter Lecka/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — For the ninth time in 11 college games Duke freshman Jabari Parker scored over 20 points, this time scoring 23, as he led the No. 8 Blue Devils past UCLA, 80-63, at Madison Square Garden Thursday night.

Parker also added 10 rebounds for the Duke (9-2), which now has won 23 straight December games.

UCLA (9-2) kept it close for a while. David Ware’s jumper at the 16:22 mark of the second half tied the game at 45, but Duke proceeded to go on a 16-4 run and never looked back.
                                                
Quinn Cook added 14 points and seven steals in the win.                                                                             

UCLA’s Jordan Adams, who was averaging 21.2 points per game, was held to 10 points, while Kyle Anderson had 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in the loss.
