(NEW YORK) — The stock market and the housing market are ending 2013 on a high note.
On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day up 25.88 points to 16,504.29. The Nasdaq fell slightly, down 2.40 points, ending the day at 4,154.20.
According to ABC’s Richard Davies, if you have a 401k plan, it should be in better shape now than at the beginning of the year. The S&P 500 index is up 29%, its biggest gain since 1997, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 37%.
The housing market is showing some improvements — depending on where you live. According to Davis, in a small number of cities, home prices are now at record high.
