(WASHINGTON) — The population of detainees at Guantanamo Bay is shrinking as two more prisoners have been transferred from the detention facility.
The Pentagon says the two men have been accepted by Saudi Arabia with “appropriate security and humane treatment assurances.”
After Monday’s announced transfers, 160 suspected terrorists remain at Gitmo. Officials say they are still committed to closing the detainment camp.
