Michigan (14-4, 6-0 Big Ten) has now won back-to-back games against top-ten teams for the first time since 1996.

Spike Albrecht made the first start of his career, scoring seven, dishing out seven assists and making four steals.

Iowa (15-4, 4-2 Big 10) shot 47 percent from the field but turned the ball over 14 times in the loss.

“You can’t turn it over 14 times here,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said. “I mean, unless you’re drilling 3s.”

Which they didn’t, only connecting on 2-of-10 from downtown.

Melsahn Basabe and Aaron White both scored 17 for the Hawkeyes in the loss.
