(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A new charter school is opening in Blackfoot this fall. Bingham Academy will utilize space that’s currently vacant in Riverside Plaza. The Blackfoot area has had several charter schools open over the past decade, but most have closed down after only a few years of operation. Principal Doug Owen says the school will be offering innovative, technology-based dual credit courses, which will make it possible for students to receive an Associates Degree when they graduate from high school. Applications are currently being accepted. For more information, visit binghamacademy.org.
