(WASHINGTON) — Gasoline prices held steady in the first week of the new year. The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas averaged $3.33 – basically the same price as the last week of 2013. Compared to last year, gas prices are up around 3 cents.
Prices in the Midwest dropped 4 cents last week — the only major region of the country to see prices decline.
