(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) — The University of Alabama had yet another successful signing day.
Head coach Nick Saban and his staff received letter of intent from 19 players on Wednesday. If you include the eight early enrollees who arrived on campus in January, the Crimson Tide have 27 new faces ready to contribute to the program.
Alabama’s 27-man signing class finished No. 1 in the ESPN rankings for the third consecutive year.
“I’ve never heard anybody say they’ve had a bad class,” Saban said. “I’ve never heard anybody say they haven’t identified their needs.
“So I’m going to say the same thing: We had a good class and we sort of identified our needs.”
The Crimson Tide signed a college football best 19 ESPN 300 athletes, the most since Saban arrived on campus in 2007.
