Big Ed Beckley

(TWIN FALLS, ID) – A Texas stuntman says he’s still planning on jumping the Snake River canyon near Twin Falls this September. Earlier this week, “Big Ed” Beckley was denied a request to use Evel Knievel’s jump site from 40 years ago. After paying $1 million on a two-year lease for a landing site on the north side of the canyon, Beckley says he’s looking at other possible jump sites outside the Twin Falls city limits. City officials expressed concerns about Beckley’s safety plan and whether or not police could control the expected crowds.
