(POCATELLO, ID) – Governor Butch Otter was in Pocatello Friday to answer questions from students at Idaho State University.  A proposed bill allowing for the concealed carry of guns on campus was a hot topic. Otter has been vague about his support for the measure, noting concerns from university administrators around the state, including ISU President Arthur Vailas. ISU currently prohibits the carrying of knives and firearms among students and faculty. The bill would allow people over the age of 21 to carry weapons on campus as long as the have Idaho’s enhanced concealed carry permit.
