(BOISE, ID) – The Senate State Affairs Committee has approved a bill allowing concealed firearms on the campuses of Idaho’s colleges.  Although it has yet to receive approval from the full Senate, the House, and the governor, the measure would allow people with the enhanced weapon permit to carry guns on the campuses of public universities and colleges. Carriers would have to be 21 or older. Idaho law requires those with the enhanced permit to undergo a background check and take an eight-hour training course. Wednesday’s measure passed along party lines 7-2.
