Utah Woman Killed in Snowmobile Crash

(PRESTON, ID) – A Utah woman is dead following a snowmobile crash east of Preston.  Authorities say 21-year-old Raysha Nielsen of Logan was killed Saturday when she struck a tree in the Franklin Basin area. Preliminary reports indicate that Nielsen was a passenger, and the name and condition of the driver has not been released. Nielsen, who was an up-and-coming racer for Team Polaris on the regional snowmobiling circuit, leaves behind a husband and child. The accident remains under investigation.
