lefavour arrested again

(BOISE, ID) – Former state Sen. Nicole LeFavour has been arrested on trespassing charges for the fifth time this year. The leader of the “Add the Words” campaign was taken into custody last Thursday evening for refusing to leave the Capitol after visiting hours. LeFavour and two other gay rights activists had been planning an all-night vigil inside the building. In spite of LeFavour’s efforts, legislators have not been persuaded to hold a hearing on the Idaho Human Rights Act to discuss adding protections for the LGBT community. Several cities and Idaho State University have already prohibited discrimination against gays in matters of housing, employment, and public services.
