Jobless Claims Sink to 315K to Kick Off March
Published at | Updated at(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims continued to fall last week, tumbling to 315,000 to kick off the month of March, the Labor Department reported Thursday morning.
For the week ending March 8, the number of people filing for benefits dropped by 9,000. The previous week, claims stood at 324,000 — an upward revision of 1,000.
The four-week average also went down, decreasing by 6,250 to 330,500.
