Man Arrested for Attempted Strangulation

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man was arrested Sunday on a charge of attempted strangulation. Fifty-year-old Jorge Casas-Ramirez was taken into custody following a report of a domestic dispute on the 1000-block of Garfield. Investigators later determined that Casas-Ramirez had choked a 46-year-old woman during an argument. The suspect, who remains in the Bonneville County Jail on a $50,000 bond, will be back in court April 4.
