Train Hits Pickup Near Blackfoot

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A train collided with a pickup in Blackfoot Thursday afternoon.  Twenty-six-year-old Anthony Pfannschmidt of Blackfoot was headed southbound along 100 West when his truck stalled on the tracks near the intersection with U.S. Highway 91. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was unhurt, though the accident caused extensive damage to the pickup and minor damage to the train. Authorities blocked the road for about an hour-and-a-half until the scene could be cleared.
