(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A public hearing for an embattled Snake River High School science teacher has been rescheduled. Elaine Asmus has taught biology at the school for more than 25 years, but administrators aren’t renewing her contract. Asmus is accused of harassing a fellow staff member during a dispute over equipment. Asmus says she’s being unfairly targeted because the teacher in question is also the wife of the superintendent. The hearing before the school board will now be held this Friday at 3 p.m. at the Snake River High School auditorium.
