Hollywood Executives Deny Allegations Made by Bryan Singer’s Accuser

Mark Davis/Getty Images for EJAF(LOS ANGELES) — The three Hollywood executives accused of sexual abuse by the man who is suing X-Men director Bryan Singer over similar allegations are denying the claims made against them.
Michael Egan, 31, claims in lawsuits filed this week that he was abused by Garth Ancier, David Neuman and Gary Goddard when he was a teenager.
A lawyer for Ancier, the former head of programming for Fox and NBC, says in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter that the claims are “demonstrably untrue.” The statement continues, “As just one of many examples, Mr. Ancier has never even visited the estate in Hawaii where the plaintiff claims to have encountered him.”
An attorney for Goddard, who has helped create theme park attractions for Universal Studios, said in an email to The Hollywood Reporter that Goddard is currently in China and a proper statement will be released in “due course but needless to say this is without merit.”
Neuman, a former president of Disney TV, addressed the allegations against him on his Twitter feed, calling them “disgusting and COMPLETELY FALSE.” He added, “Also very shocking in that they don’t just stretch the truth, they are whole-cloth lies with zero basis in reality or truth. Sickening, and very evil, for anyone to lie like that, let alone in a legal document.”
The lawsuits against the executives were filed just days after Egan filed a similar complaint against Singer. The director’s attorney has said the claims against Singer are “completely fabricated.”
Singer’s latest film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, opens on May 23.
