Smith Declines Debate with Simpson

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Attorney Bryan Smith has declined an invitation to debate incumbent U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson in Idaho Falls. The debate would’ve been put on by the City Club, which has held political forums since 2007. Smith says he didn’t want to debate Simpson because of the City Club’s choice for a moderator, Dr. David Adler. Adler, who is a professor of political science at Boise State, has moderated several debates in his career. City Club president Mark Young says all of the debate’s questions would’ve been taken from the audience without respect to any political agenda.
