Columbus Short Arrested for Public Intoxication in Dallas

ABC/Kelsey McNeal(DALLAS) — Trouble has found former Scandal star Columbus Short again. He was arrested early Saturday in Dallas for public intoxication.
TMZ reports the 31-year-old actor was at the Katy Trail Ice House, a beer garden and restaurant, where a security guard approached him after it appeared he would not pay his bill. The two had a fight, which was broken up by off-duty cops. Short reportedly then yelled and tried to attack the cops.
The incident is just another in a series of personal problems for Short. In April, Short’s wife reportedly obtained a restraining order and filed for divorce after he allegedly threatened to kill the both of them.
In addition, he’s pleaded not guilty to felony battery in connection with a March arrest for allegedly punching another man at a West Los Angeles restaurant.
Short, who played Harrison Wright on Scandal, has announced he will not be returning to the ABC series next season.
