Fish and Game: No Hired Wolf Hunters
Published at(BOISE, ID) — The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is shelving a plan to use a hired hunter to kill wolves in the Frank Church Wilderness. Idaho is being sued by animal rights activists and progressive environmental groups because a hunter was flown into the area to kill wolves earlier this year. The man used a cabin and airstrip to access the area, which opponents claim violates the federal Wilderness Act. State officials say they likely won’t consider using a paid hunter again until sometime late next year
