(REXBURG, ID) – Executives for Yellowstone Bear World are worried about a proposed construction project along U.S. Highway 20. The project will include a new overpass in Thornton, which will permanently close all other highway access points between the Snake River and Rexburg.
Spokesman Courtney Ferguson tells Local News 8 that he stands to lose as much as half of his annual profits if the access point in front of Bear World is closed off.
All northbound traffic would have to backtrack about two miles to get to his business. The $14 million project will begin in 2016.
