(CHUBBUCK, ID) – The Carmike 7 movie theater in Chubbuck is closed to make room for new restaurants.

Officials say some former Carmike 7 employees will be moved to the Pine Ridge Ten theater nearby. The old theater will be torn down later this month, and had a real estate price tag of $1.2 million earlier this year.

Executives have been mum about the new owners and the specifics about what is coming to Chubbuck. They did say, however, that the Pine Ridge Ten will expand in 2015 to include a much larger screen and luxury seats.
