Debbie Reynolds to Receive SAG Life Achievement Award
Published at(NEW YORK) — Debbie Reynolds is set to receive the highest award from the Screen Actors Guild. She’ll receive the 51st SAG Life Achievement Award at the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in January.
The Singin’ in the Rain star has spent over 60 years in the business, starring in over 50 films, plus two TV series and two Broadway shows. She’s been nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and a Tony during her accomplished career.
“She is a tremendously talented performer with a diverse body of screen and stage work, live performances and several hit records. Her generous spirit and unforgettable performances have entertained audiences across the globe, moving us all from laughter to tears and back again,” SAG-AFTRA president Ken Howard said in a statement.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015.
